A. M. SISON, JR. & PARTNERS LAW OFFICE (formerly A.M. Sison, Jr. & Associates Law Office) was organized on May 20, 1977 to engage in the practice of law. The firm is a partnership of lawyers, the majority of whom are also Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) who were originally partners and managers in the Tax Department of Price Waterhouse, Philippines (now Isla Lipana & Co.). In the course of their professional careers, the partners have had numerous opportunities to acquaint themselves with legal and business practices both in the Philippines and in the United States. This background has enabled the partners to achieve a far wider range of knowledge and expertise in the specialized fields of taxation, business law, labor and corporate laws and consequently, to provide a higher standard of legal services. While its emphasis is on taxation and corporate laws, the firm is also into litigation before the Regional Trial Courts, Court of Tax Appeals and the Supreme Court. The firm also handles cases in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Bureau of Customs (BOC), Department of Finance-One Stop Shop Inter Agency Tax Credit and Duty Drawback Center, Board of Investment (BOI), the Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas (BSP), Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID), National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). It has also, on a number of occasions, provided legal and tax services to its clients in corporate mergers and reorganizations, due diligence audit on corporate acquisitions, and legal and tax services on joint ventures. We also render legal assistance to foreign nationals on any matters relating to Philippine Immigration Act and related laws.
